The role

This is a key role in ensuring the security and front line operation is fully staffed and able to respond to business needs, you core responsibilities will be:

  • Owning and creation of 5 yearly resource plan for Stansted Airport end to end operational areas.
  • Creation of long-term recruitment plans in line with the new strategies and requirements.
  • Owning the creation of future workforce strategy.
  • Provide analytical expertise to monitor and report upon operational and financial performance of Stansted Airport, focusing on resource.
  • Ownership of the Yearly forecasting process, ensuring the business is continuously reporting an accurate forecast.
  • Identify areas of improvement to maximise resource efficiency and operational performance. This may be achieved through the scenario modelling
  • Support creation of long-term resource strategies to influence contract, rostering and deployment decisions
  • Undertake 'planned vs actual' analysis and carry out detailed root cause analysis to provide challenge, identify trends and improve planning accuracy
  • Provide support to the Business Change and Transformation teams on resource strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on optimal resource mix
  • Identify and communicate trends which impact financial or operational performance
  • Provide guidance on future spend, influencing decision making when reforecasting
  • Provide the most current Resource Level against the agreed budgets to the Stakeholders by way of creation of Resource “BLUE BOOK”

What will make you successful in the role?

In order to be successful in this role, you will posses:

  • A track record of success resourcing complex operations 
  • Experience working in a regulated environment 
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with the ability to recognise data trends. 
  • Experience presenting and distilling data in an accessible way to senior stakeholders
  • Professional communication style 
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management 
  • Understanding of core resource planning principles 
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft suite
